I received video clips and photos from Innocademy's 2017 Color Run and edited them together with a royalty free song to create this promotional video for distribution on the school's social media channels. My favorite part of this project was figuring out how to take the footage of the colored powder covering the camera lens and loop it to create a moving background for graphics and photos.

My wife and I took a trip to Ireland in 2023. I created this video as a personal memory of the trip, using the photos and videos we took along the way. My favorite part of this project was putting together the opening sequence that shows the journey from Holland to Dublin. I used quick cuts to briefly illustrate the different legs of our journey and added royalty free audio like road noise, a boarding announcement, and a seatbelt chime to pull the viewer deeper into the environment of the scene.

Innocademy's 2022 Holiday Extravaganza concert was performed for the cameras instead of a live audience due to an incoming blizzard. I received a single video of all the combined footage that was taken and did extensive editing to create individual videos for each class that performed. Some challenges I enjoyed overcoming in this project were: - The welcome speaker's fast speaking rate, which I slowed to make the speech understandable while preserving her natural tone of voice. - The performance that included a teacher reading from a children's book, which required me to artificially extend the shot of the teacher in order to place the first page of the book next to her in frame so viewers could see who was speaking.

Together with the lead pastor at Leighton Church, I filmed interviews of the congregation's six members who were 90 years or older at the time. The final project after my editing work was a short documentary style video that was shown to the congregation during a Sunday service. I enjoyed the process of editing these interviews into to concise conversations, which was challenging at times given the informal nature of the interviews. Quickly finding good placements for the camera and microphone in a variety of new environments was another task that kept this project interesting.

I edited several years worth of Innocademy graduation videos for distribution to students and their families. In this clip from the 2019 graduation video, I used royalty free stock footage and music to create an engaging backdrop for the opening titles.

I traveled to Israel for a three-week college course and made this video to commemorate the trip. When I reviewed the footage from my basic point-and-shoot camera, I found that I'd accidentally turned on a setting that recorded a video before I took a picture. I loved the look of these off-the-cuff shots, with their quick zooms and focus shifts, and decided to use them in the video along with the rest of my photos and videos.
